(i) How to detect Vision Problem in Children

LAZY EYE (AMBLYOPIA)

• Poor eyesight can affect a child's learning and school performance. Therefore, you should send your child for his visual examination before he enters school.
• Negligence can sometimes lead to AMBLYOPIA OR LAZY EYE. Quite commonly amblyopia is associated with squint where one of the eyes turned in or turned out.
• Amblyopia or Lazy Eye is an abnormal condition due to improper development of the visual system of the eye. If the eyes were left uncorrected until the adult age, the consequence of it may be partial loss of vision permanently.
